Yarraka descends from the Wonnarua, Bundjalung, Birri Gubba, and Gungalu nations, and was born on Gadigal Country before settling in Brisbane.

Deep Community Roots

Raised in Redfern during the 1980s, she now lives on Yuggera Country in South Brisbane with her children and granddaughter.

Extensive Professional Experience

With over 20 years in both Indigenous and non-Indigenous organisations across NSW and QLD, Yarraka has been recognised for her work in art and media.
Passionate Educator and Cultural Facilitator

She has worked with Brisbane Catholic Education and delivers cultural workshops to schools and early learning centres across Southeast Queensland.
